• Will have performed at the highest levels academically
• Will have carried out innovative research that cuts
across the disciplines
• Will have or expect to have a bachelor's or master's
degree from a U.S. college or university by fall 2008
Your candidacy as a transdisciplinary scholar will be considered based on your nomination from a faculty member at a U.S. institution you attended, as well as research and projects undertaken during your academic career, and your transdisciplinary research goals at CGU. By transdisciplinary, we mean migrating across disciplines as theoretical or applied questions demand; Or jumping boundaries between theory and application, as when addressing a problem outside the academy leads to new discoveries in academic terms.
Recipients of the 2008 scholarship must begin doctoral study at CGU in the Fall of 2008. Recipients must maintain full-time status to receive this scholarship. Current CGU students are not eligible for the Claremont National Scholars program.
