Letter from the President

Dear Degree Candidates:

Commencement is coming, and you will be one of its featured participants. Congratulations on your pending graduation from Claremont Graduate University. 

You will enjoy the Commencement ceremony. It is full of symbolism and beauty. It is also an occasion for you to reflect upon your academic achievements and your responsibilities as you leave the university. With your graduate degree, you will join a very small number of people who have the ability and opportunity to create new knowledge and make our world a better place.

The faculty, staff, and trustees are all looking forward to joining you for Commencement on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 9 a.m. As am I, for it is my privilege and honor to preside at your Commencement ceremony.  It will be a pleasure to shake your hand during CGU’s 86th Commencement.
