The search for the Dean of the Library is over! Kevin Mulroy, from the University of California, Los Angeles has been appointed as the A.J. McFadden Dean of the Claremont Colleges Library. He will begin on July 15, 2013. For more information, click here.
The ABLP recently met with Sara Lowe, a Research Librarian to review the Claremont Colleges Library Student Survey on Library Resources and Self Perceptions of Information Technology. CGU had the most students complete the survey out of the 7Cs, while KGI had the highest response rate per school. To find out more information on the survey results, please contact Ariel.

Academic Computing Committee Report
Shamini Dias, an SES student sits on this committee. A full report can be found here. The last report was given in October 2012. Aisha Agee and Josh Penman have been recommended to sit on the committee for the 2013-2014 academic year and will begin serving in April 2013.
The committee has been quite active reviewing alternative portals, alternative LMS software to SAKAI and the purchase of Qualitrics. The report also discusses OIT discounts available to CGU students, staff and faculty.
