Charge and Goals

The Charge

The President's Diversity Committee advises the President on issues of diversity and inclusivity. The committee consists of dedicated faculty, students, and staff who are appointed to the Committee by the President of Claremont Graduate University. The mission of PDC is to promote and foster a diverse, welcoming, and inclusive community.

Our Goals

  1. Design and implement an annual report to the Board of Trustees that reports on diversity metrics and progress
  2. Set targets and plans for reporting/accountability
  3. Review Faculty Hiring process, policy, and practices and recommend changes
  4. Outline steps to address support structures for students, staff, and faculty to improve campus climate
  5. Develop university-wide diversity plan for delivery to the Board in Fall 2013 with a status report in May 2013.
