Degree Programs

At the Center for Information Systems and Technology we teach and do research about the use of information technology to solve transdisciplinary problems.  Technologically adept, but not strictly a "tech" school, CISAT offers labs and curricula that integrate computing, management, and other disciplines.  Some of our students aspire to be IT leaders in practice (i.e., in IT and non-IT businesses, in government, in education, and elsewhere), while others aim to hold research and teaching positions in Academia.  All are here to master the established body of knowledge in IS&T, as well as to be exposed to the latest research findings from our faculty members and their colleagues around the world.

CISAT offers two degree programs

The Master's of Science in Information Systems and Technology

  • prepares students for IS&T leadership roles in business, government, education, and other areas
  • provides balance between technology and management content
  • available with concentration in GIS Solution Development
  • can be earned as dual degree (with MBA)

The Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technology

  • prepares students to be IS&T scholars
  • research education from distinguished research faculty
  • master's degree in IS&T (or closely-related field) required
