Eddie Partida has been the District Coordinator for CGU’s Teacher Education Program since 2010. Partida earned his Teaching Credential and Masters Degree from Azusa Pacific University. As a science teacher at La Puente High School from 2002-2010, he helped build the Science and Engineering Academy by bringing several STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics) based competitions such as Botball, Team America Rocketry Challenge and Solar Cup to the school. Along with a passion for STEM Education, his educational philosophy is centered on the belief that giving students opportunities to engage in authentic inquiry and creative problem solving are essential to improving education and ultimately closing the achievement gap. In addition to teaching select TEIP program courses, as District Coordinator he helps train and support Master Teachers and works to develop partnerships with the local districts to identify exemplary teachers that will help usher our teacher candidates into the profession.
