The Division of Politics and Economics offers a graduate-only academic environment, where graduate students work intimately with nationally and internationally renowned faculty on a wide range of research projects. These efforts are supported by a number of talented individuals that are committed to enhancing the quality of graduate education.
Eliana Leon, SSSPE Budget Coordinator/DPE Division Manager
Eliana works with SSSPE faculty, students, and staff on all budgetary matters. She is responsible for monitoring existing budgets, formulates annual administrative budgets, prepares financial statements for department accounts, and ensures conformance to budgetary compliance. Eliana is responsible for managing the DPE office along with planning and implementing events such as orientation and commencement.
Ashley is the primary contact in the DPE office for faculty and students. Ashley monitors academic progress of students, ensuring they are on track and making progress toward their degrees from the first day until graduation. She facilitates faculty approval of course schedules, keeps course catalogues and curriculum guides up-to-date.
Sherry has a dual appointment in DBOS, serving as the Administrative Assistant for Professor Csikszentmihalyi and the Quality of Life Research Center (QLRC) each morning. In the afternoons, she assists Dean Stewart Donaldson at the Claremont Evaluation Center (CEC). Lauren Copeland, Assistant to the Budget Coordinator, SSSPE
Lauren is a primary contact for questions regarding SSSPE payroll and reimbursements. She is responsible for processing payroll, reimbursements, and other critical internal and external paperwork for SSSPE. Additionally, she assists faculty and staff on other various special projects.
Marcella directs and manages external operations for SSSPE and provides support to 7 Chairs and over 40 faculty members. She manages and oversees various aspects of Conferences, Workshops, Speaker Panels and Webinars. Marcella assists with various marketing and recruiting efforts throughout various programs and also assists faculty with special projects as needed.
