Announcing the ‘Call for Applications’ for the
2014-2015 CGU DISSERTATION AWARDS*
Each year Claremont Graduate University sponsors a dissertation grants competition. The amount per award is $10,000. To be eligible, you must be currently registered as a doctoral student in any field of study at CGU. In addition, you must have:
Completed all your course work for the PhD, with the exception of Dissertation Research units that have been approved by the faculty
Advanced to candidacy, including approval of the Dissertation Proposal and submission of Advancement to Candidacy (Form Two) to the Registrar’s Office on or before Friday, June 6, 2014.
Have a reasonable expectation of completion of all remaining requirements for the PhD degree by the end of 2015
Application and supporting documents must be submitted to Katie Lopez in the Office of Student Services (Financial Aid) by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 1, 2014
The announcement of the awards happens approximately May 5, 2014. Disbursements will take place twice a year with one half awarded in September 2014 and the balance in January 2015.
