Kozmetsky Transdisciplinary Scholars Award

This award facilitates faculty work in Transdisciplinary Studies that parallels the Reading/Working Groups and Hillcrest Transdisciplinary Studies awards for students.

Awards range from $500 to $3000 for transdisciplinary collaborative research proposals. These can include faculty (or faculty and student) reading groups across the disciplines; T-course design; transdisciplinary conferences; speakers; and other collaborative transdisciplinary projects.

Instructions 

Kozmetsky proposals should be collaborative projects that involve faculty from at least three disciplines, preferably distributed across two or three Schools at CGU.

Submission Deadline: October 22nd, 2014

The submission deadling for the Kozmetsky Transdisciplinary Award Proposal is the fourth Wednesday of October, no later than 5pm.

Research paper, article, electronic database or website development, survey, exhibit, colloquium, conference, etc.

1. Description of the project to be supported.
1.1 Explanation of the transdisciplinary nature and contribution of the project.
2. Schedule of meeting dates/event dates.
2.1 Plan of activities and goals for the academic year.
3. List of committed participants.
3.1 Description of each participant's research agenda.
3.2 Details of convenor/convenors who will be responsible for submitting receipts for reimbursement for expenses.
4. Summary of anticipated expenses.

History

The Kozmetsky Transdisciplinary Scholar Award was created in 2011, following the solid establishment of the Transdisciplinary Studies Reading/Working Group Awards and Hillcrest Transdisciplinary Studies Awards. The faculty awards were introduced to follow up on the substantial results in regard to building a transdisciplinary culture produced by the three student Transdisciplinary Studies Award programs.
