Claremont Graduate University's MFA program requires a high degree of capability and commitment. Applicants must hold a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or a diploma from a four-year accredited professional art school before beginning the MFA program.

    Please upload 15 images of recent artwork on SlideRoom. Performance and/or video artists may submit work that is no longer than 3 minutes in length.
  3. Artist Statement 
    One-page (approximately 500 words) that addresses influences, interests, and current direction.
  4. Letters of Recommendation (3)
    May be submitted via the online application directly by your recommenders; if your recommenders will not be submitting online, please review the guidelines.
  5. Official Transcript 
    From every college or university attended, more information here.
*  Fall 2016 applicants submitting before January 1st: please submit your portfolio to the Spring 2016 Slideroom review folder. Once Spring admissions close (after 1/1/16), your portfolio will be moved to the Fall 2016 review folder
