Seating
Guest attendance is unrestricted.  Graduates will sit in the middle section; guest seating is designated to the east and west sections.  Guests are asked to find a seat and keep the aisles clear, enabling the graduates and platform party to proceed to their seats.

Children are to be seated in the audience and not among the candidates.  Those guests bringing strollers are asked to keep the aisles clear.

Special Needs 
We encourage guests with special needs to arrive early. Below are two options.  Additional inquiries regarding disability-related accommodation may be made during regular business hours by calling Mrs. Pat Stodola in the CGU Facilities’ Office  (909) 607-7765 or via e-mail .  Please make your inquiries no later than noon on Friday, May 8, 2009.

Option One (least distance).  Park in the handicapped parking spaces in the parking lot north of McAlister Center on the southwest corner of Tenth Street and Columbia Avenue.  Due to numerous street closures, the most convenient way to access this lot is from Indian Hill Blvd., driving east on 11^th Street, turn right on Columbia Avenue, and right into the driveway just south of Tenth Street.  (You will be on the east side of Mudd Quad.)

Option Two.  Before parking, drop off special guests at the corner of Tenth Street and Dartmouth Avenue.  (You will be on the west side of Mudd Quad.) 

Photography
The area southeast of the stage platform is designated for guests to take photographs of graduates.  After you have completed taking photos, please return to your seat.

Gifts
Huntley Bookstore will have merchandise and flowers available for purchase on graduation day.  The booth will be on the west side of Dartmouth Avenue between Eighth and Ninth streets (in front of the Institute for Antiquity and Christianity).

Directions to Claremont Graduate University
Claremont Graduate University is approximately ten miles from Ontario International Airport and 60 miles from Los Angeles International Airport. The commencement ceremony site is on the southeast corner of Tenth Street and Dartmouth Avenue.

University Address
The University's primary address is 160 E. Tenth Street, Claremont, CA  91711

Street Closures:  (1) Dartmouth between Eighth Street and Tenth Street.   (2) Tenth Street between Dartmouth and Columbia.

From Ontario International Airport and/or the East
Take the San Bernardino Freeway (10) west to the Indian Hill Blvd. exit.  Turn right onto Indian Hill Blvd. and drive north approximately 1.5 miles.  Make a right turn onto either Eighth or Tenth Street and drive east three blocks.

From Orange County
Take the San Bernardino Freeway (10) east and exit at Indian Hill Blvd. in Claremont.  Make a left turn onto Indian Hill Blvd. and drive north approximately 1.5 miles.  Make a right turn onto either Eighth or Tenth Street and drive east three blocks.

From Los Angeles
Take the Foothill Freeway (210) drive east and exit at Towne Avenue.  Turn left on Towne Avenue. Take next Right onto West Base Line Road (CA-30) and go 0.92 miles. Turn right onto Indian Hill Blvd. and drive 1 mile. Turn left onto Tenth Street (just north of the park) and drive east three blocks.

Parking
Parking is available on public streets and in the following campus parking lots:  between College and Dartmouth/11th and 12th Streets; west of the Burkle Family Building on 11th Street; SE corner of Dartmouth and 11th Street; SW corner of Columbia and 10th Street (access from 11th Street and Columbia); 8th Street between College and Dartmouth.
