For the Alumni

Welcome Note from the Dean of Arts and Humanities:

Dear Graduates:

We love to hear from you, so please send us a line and tell us what you are up to. If you come to visit you will see that some things have changed: the music department is now located at 925 N. Dartmouth Ave and has state of the art practice and recording facilities; the Humanities (English, history, philosophy, and cultural studies) have moved to Tenth Street (between College & Dartmouth) where we occupy three beautiful and concurrent houses! We are very excited about these changes.

We continue to build our interdisciplinary strengths, developing joint programs and courses that appeal to students who seek to pursue problems and interests that are not confined to traditionally defined disciplinary boundaries. I think you would be pleased at the directions the Arts and Humanities are taking. Please let us know if you will be in the neighborhood so we can show you around.

Remember that you are a valued part of our past, present, and future. We are only as good as the students we graduate and we are anxious to know how you are doing. Thanks for visiting our virtual campus. I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Marc Redfield, Interim Dean
