Claremont Information and Technology Institute
Welcome
     Dr. Thomas Horan
Greetings,

Welcome to the home page of the Claremont Information and Technology Institute (CITI). As you will see from our description, we are engaged in a wide-range of applied technology studies across a number of disciplinary boundaries. It is quite fitting for you to be discovering us through the Internet, as a major theme of our work is the business, social, and governmental impacts of informational technology. The mission of CITI is to advance innovative use of information and technology for societal gain by conducting applied research, graduate training experiences, and outreach activities on pressing community and management issues. CITI accomplishes this mission by focusing on three domain areas: digital and e-governmental infrastructures, health and medical informatics, and social and community informatics. CITI utilizes a variety of methodological approaches to create scientifically valid and socially useful research products.

CITI is a research arm of the School of Information Systems and Technology. Research teams are typically comprised of student and faculty members, with occasional expert collaborators. The human scale size of the University allows us to take a much touted but rarely executed interdisciplinary approach to our investigations.

Warmly,
Tom
