Celebrating and Extending the Legacy of Peter Drucker
Friday, May 12, 2006
On May 12th – as part of CGU’s commencement program - we will further celebrate the life of Peter Drucker and discuss how we can extend and carry forward his unique legacy. For this special event we will invite a select group of leaders from business, government, the nonprofit sector, and academia to consider two sets of questions:
1. The Drucker Legacy Exemplified. What has the work of Peter Drucker meant to each participant? How have his principles been useful in their work? Selected participants will be asked to make informal presentations of about 15 minutes each, with ample time for discussion. Some or all of these presentations may later be reworked for publication.
2. The Drucker Legacy Carried Forward. For this part of the forum, the key question will be: How might we together extend Peter’s legacy in the twenty-first century? You and our special guests will be asked to generate new ideas for the future activities of the Drucker Institute.
The celebration will continue on Saturday morning, May 13, with Commencement at Claremont Graduate University. Further details will be made available shortly on CGU’s website.
