Drucker School announces New Associate Dean
Hideki Yamawaki's commitment to scholarship, research and teaching and his experience, values, skills and the respect that he enjoys, all equip him to be a great success. Professor Yamawaki has been here at CGU for six years. He came to us from the faculty at UCLA, after overseeing an applied economics research institute at Louvain in Belgium, and, earlier, serving as a research fellow at a government-sponsored think-tank in Berlin. Hideki earned his Ph.D. in economics at Harvard and his B.A. and M.A. from Keio in Tokyo. He is the author of a forthcoming book entitled: Japanese Exports and Foreign Investment; Imperfect Competition in International Markets (Cambridge University Press), and has long-term interests and expertise in business strategy, global competition and industrial economics. Professor Yamawaki will provide energy and progress on the intellectual, programmatic and curricular front. He will also fill all the traditional functions of an associate dean for academic affairs, interacting with faculty committees; working on course loads and assignments and research projects; evaluations; professional associations and accreditation; and searches; etc.
Please join us in congratulating Hideki on becoming Associate Dean.
