Chicago Tribune Highlights Csikzentmihalyi's Endorsement of Research Findings
Professor Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi was recently quoted in a Chicago Tribune article which detailed reseaarch findings on the impact of an individual's mood as related to creativity and focus. Csikszentmihalyi is the D.S. and D.J. Davidson Professor of Psychology at the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management and is Director of the Quality of Life Research Center.
In an article written by Tribune reporter Michelle S. Keller, Csikszentmihalyi is quoted describing stages of moods that can affect the brain in experimental processing and focusing. His remarks punctuate recent research findings that happy moods promote creativity by can hinder the ability to focus on a task. Csikzentmihalyi, whose life’s work has been to study what makes people truly happy, is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on the psychology of creativity.
