Costs of Attendance and Financial Aid Information

The School of Information Systems and Technology provides financial assistance for qualified Master's and PhD students on a limited basis.  Decisions are based primarily on standardized test scores (GRE or GMAT), demonstrated academic promise (established through letters of recommendation) and previous academic performance (GPA).  All applicants are evaluated based on the average performance of all applicants to a particular semester.  Aid can be provided by way of a faculty sponsored reserach assistantship (the sponsoring faculty member may provide tuition assistance in exchange for work in a research lab or project and/or hourly employment in a reserach lab) and/or departmental fellowship (a certain percentage of tuition is paid by SISAT).  On average, awards amount to about 25-45% of total tuition. Full tuition waivers are granted on a very limited basis.  In all cases, financial awards are designed to augment funding already secured by the student through company/government sponsorship, family assistance or outside financial funding (such as loans) and are not designed to cover the costs of both tuition and living expenses.  To apply for institutional aid, be sure to indicate this request on the general application for admission and fill out the required sections.  Those who do not indicate they are seeking financial assistance will not be considered for funding.

When perusing our Tuition & Fees Schedule please refer to the 'Standard' fee structure as these are the costs associated with CGU SISAT.
