Applications for IRB review may be submitted at any time (go here to download the correct application form and related information). All applications will be read shortly after receipt. 

About three-quarters of applications meet the criteria for exemption or expedited review (go here to review these criteria).  The initial response to these applications will generally take 2-3 weeks. 

Applications that do not qualify for exemption or the expedited procedure will require review by the full Board.  These applications will be subject to the deadlines and meeting schedule below.  The Board's written response will generally be conveyed 1-2 weeks after its meeting.
