Experience Claremont
30 miles East of Los Angeles, along the lower slopes of the San Gabriel Mountains, rests the quiet community of Claremont, California. Winner of the coveted National Arbor Day Association’s “Tree City USA” award for 15 consecutive years, its tree-lined streets, historic properties and prestigious universities offer a warm welcome with strong community spirit.
At the center of town and adjacent to the Claremont Colleges rests the walking district referred to as “The Village”, with a quaint atmosphere that houses an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and buildings reminiscent of many New England communities. The walking district also offers a Summer Concert Series at Memorial Park, a Farmer’s Market each Sunday, and a yearlong schedule of fairs, festivals and events.
In addition to housing a prestigious cluster of world-renowned private colleges, Claremont also boasts a rich heritage of fine arts and is home to multiple venues of cultural enjoyment - theatres, art galleries, and the famous Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden. Major retailers, discount stores and multiplex movie theatres are also located nearby.
