MGT 517 - Management & Administration

MA Core Course

Social sector organizations are distinctive in their approach to results, contribution of staff, managers and volunteers, legal structure, accountability, performance assessment and analysis, control or coordination systems and in numerous other areas.

This is one of two four-unit core courses in the M.A. in Management degree program, and lays the management foundation for executives from nonprofit and government sectors, addressing topics both common to all organizations, and unique to these organizations. It complements MGT 518 Financial & Management Control. The course can also be useful for business executives who serve on nonprofit boards.
