The Peter F. Drucker Award for Nonprofit Innovation - 2007

How to Apply

The selection process is rigorous and competitive – the 2006 winner was chosen from 525 applicants.  Only applicants that meet all of the requirements and criteria will be considered.  The application must be sent complete, in one shipment, and received by August 13, 2007. 

 

The entry must include the following three (3) items:

  • completed application form
  • 3 ½" diskette or CD containing the application narrative
  • copy of the organizations 501(c) (3) IRS Determination Letter

 

Selection Criteria

 

The selected program must:

  • have specific and measurable outcomes
  • exemplify innovation by demonstrating a new dimension or standard of performance
  • have made a demonstrated difference in the lives of the people it serves
  • serve as a model that can be replicated or adapted by other organizations

 

Eligibility Requirements

 

 

Applications must be submitted by the organization responsible for the program; third-party nominations will not be accepted. 

  • The organization must be a U.S. domiciled entity serving a U.S. population.
  • Canadian organizations should visit www.innovation-award.ca
  • The program must be fully operational at the time of application submission
  • The organization must be a registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization.

Please note:  Only one entry per organization may be submitted.  The Drucker School is not a grant-making institution and cannot accept funding proposals.  Other than award winners, we are unable to notify applicants of the status of their application. 

 

Past first place Drucker Award winners cannot nominate another program until the third year after the year of their award.

 

Application Procedure

 

Download the application and instructions from the Obtain an Application link at the bottom of this page.  Applications must be complete and received by the Drucker School no later than August 13, 2007.  Each application must be accompanied by a copy of the organizations 501(c) (3) determination letter and a 3 ½" diskette or CD containing the application narrative text.

 

Supplemental materials are not accepted.

 

 

Award Selection Procedure

 

Applications will be reviewed by Drucker School staff and the final selections made by an external selection committee appointed by the Drucker School.  Winning and recognized organizations will be notified by mid October 2007.  We are unable to notify non-winning applicants.

 

Application Deadline

Applications must be received at the Drucker School by August 13, 2007.

  • Save the document to wherever you normally save your documents on your hard drive.
