Private Loans

Private Loans are credit-based consumer loans that can be used for education-related purposes and require no collateral. Many students qualify on their own , but we do recommend that you apply with a creditworthy cosigner who has excellent credit, when seeking a private student loan.  If you are an International student, you are required to apply with an American citizen or green card holder endorser to be considered for a private student loan.

Before applying, please email the Office of Student Financing at finaid@cgu.edu to determine your maximum loan amount for the academic year.

Sallie Mae - please note that this private loan does not have a deferment period, it begins repayment within 30 days of disbursement to the school.
