A&H New Student Information: Registration and Advising

Though new students may register for courses without late fees until the end of the first week of school, we encourage you to register as soon as possible, as some classes fill up quickly. In future semesters you will register yourself online through our student portal, but for your first semester we require the paper-based registration form. There are four simple steps to complete your registration.

Step 1: Please review the student handbook to determine your required courses for your specific program. The department handbooks can be found under the current student section of each department's web page (here are quick links to the student handbooks: Applied Women's StudiesArts and Cultural Management, Cultural Studies, English, History, and Music).

Art and Philosophy do not have online student handbooks, so please review the catalogue descriptions for those programs (Art and Philosophy).

Step 2: Please review the schedule of currently listed classes and course descriptions for the Spring 2007 semester and think about which classes you may wish to take (you can find the schedules here).

Step 3: For advising, contact your department advisor (view the list of contact information here).

Step 4: Once you have received approval for your courses and are ready to submit your registration form:

  • Go here to access the Registration Form.
  • Print the form and indicate the classes that have been approved.
  • Return the form to the appropriate person:

Music: Laura Fogleman-Vinson, Music Department Secretary, 925 N. Dartmouth, Room 015, Claremont, CA 91711, laura.fogleman-vinson@cgu.edu, or fax it to Laura's attention at 909-607-3694.

All other Arts & Humanities admits: Holly Domingo, Student Support Secretary, 121 E. Tenth Street, Claremont, CA  91711, holly.domingo@cgu.edu, or fax it to Holly's attention at 909-607-1221.

  • If you have already registered for classes and have changed your mind in any way about your courses, please fill out a Change in Registration Form.  You may access this form here.
