Federal Grad PLUS Loans
Graduate students can borrow a Grad PLUS loan to supplement their subsidized and unsubsidized Federal Stafford loans. Student borrowers must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and first borrow the maximum (based on eligibility and determination of need) in Stafford Loans before borrowing the Grad PLUS.

Private Loans
Private loans are for students who need additional funds beyond what federal
programs can provide to meet educational expenses. Contact the Office of Student
Financing to inquire about your maximum loan eligibility.

Scholarships and Grants
Various scholarships and grants are offered by outside private agencies.

Institutional Aid
Fellowships, Research Assistantships and Teacher Assistantships are awarded directly
by the departments in the form of Institutional Aid.
