SES Professor and Director of Urban Leadership, Barbara DeHart, has been recommended by her peers to receive the 2010 Dr. Effie H. Jones Humanitarian Award from the American Association of School Administrators (AASA). The award honors Dr. DeHart's tireless committment to diversifying the field of education with high quality leaders and to ensuring the best education for all students, especially though who are poor or minority.
The award will be presented during the second general session of the National Conference on Education (NCE) at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, February 12, 2010, at 9:45 AM. Dr. DeHart will also be recognized at a luncheon honoring Dr. Jones' commitment to advancing women and minorities into educational leadership positions and to fighting for equity and excellence for all students.
