IN MEMORY OF PETER DRUCKER: Saturday, December 10, 2005
The Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University cordially invites you to a memorial service honoring the life of Peter F. Drucker on Saturday, December 10 at 3 p.m. at Bridges Hall of Music, commonly known as Little Bridges (150 East 4th Street in Claremont).
An informal reception will follow at 4 p.m. in Memorial Courtyard. Personal friends may pay their respects to Doris at the Pomona Alumni House, 305 N. College. During this time attendees may capture their memories of Peter Drucker on video as part of the legacy project for the Drucker Institute (formerly the Peter F. Drucker Research Library and Archive) in Bridges Hall of Music.

Peter F. Drucker, the world’s foremost pioneer of management theory, died on November 11, 2005, one week before his 96th birthday. Drucker was the Marie Rankin Clarke Professor of Social Sciences and Management at Claremont Graduate University (CGU) from 1971 to 2003 where he continued to write and consult up to the time of his death. Drucker’s career as a writer, consultant and teacher spanned nearly 75 years. His groundbreaking work turned modern management theory into a serious discipline. He influenced or created nearly every facet of its application, including decentralization, privatization, empowerment, and understanding of “the knowledge worker.” (read the full press release)
