Reasoning for the Social Sciences: Transdisciplinary Perspectives
This course introduces students to the techniques of transdisciplinary reasoning for the social sciences. This will be accomplished by utilizing various analytical tools to examine local, national, and global issues. Students demonstrate their understanding of the principles and fundamental concepts of these techniques through short-cycle assessments as well as a culminating project. This course is offered with the support of several social science-related organizations that espouse a global perspective where students will have the opportunity to interact with researchers and other experts across many disciplines. Students will have the option of participating in this unique opportunity in either Paris or Los Angeles.
