A continuation of Math PCU160 with topics to include: First Order (linear and non-linear) and Second Order Linear Partial Differential Equations (including the standard potential, heat and wave equations), Vector Calculus, and topics from Advanced Calculus. Applications to Physics, Biology, and Engineering will be made. This course is intended for High School or Middle School teachers of Mathematics who wish to prepare for the Master’s in Applied Mathematics with a Concentration in Teaching degree. It is awarded 3 Professional Credit units. Pre-requisite : Math 161.
