Hometown:
San Diego, California
Undergraduate education:
Howard University (Business)
Why did Brandon choose the Drucker School?
After visiting the Drucker School I knew it was the place for me. The size of the campus and the classes make me feel part of a family. Sometimes at bigger schools you can get lost among all the other MBA students, but at the Drucker School I feel like people genuinely care if I succeed. I have an endless amount of resources and I feel the Drucker School is truly a special place.
What should we know about Brandon?
I have a number of different interests. I build computers and I was a computer science major before switching to business management. I used to work at Nordstrom and have an interested in fashion. However, I plan to pursue a career in sports or entertainment marketing. (I am a serious sports fan and have been a San Diego Charger season ticket holder with my father for over 10 years.) One day I want to have a firm that helps athletes and entertainers get top level endorsements.

Why did Yu-Wen choose the Drucker School?
I chose the Drucker School because of its flexible curriculum and the personal touch. The program allows me to obtain both the MBA and the MA in history in a shorter time. Also, because the program is small I receive a lot of personal attention and help from the staff and faculty.

I studied ballet for 12 years and danced for a ballet company for 3 years. Now in my free time I enjoy reading. I also am part of the Drucker student admissions team
My father is a professor of management in Taiwan. Like him, I plan to teach once I finish my education but I will probably stay here in the U.S.

Why Drucker: "My undergraduate work was at a very large university, and the Drucker School provided the balance of a more intimate setting for my graduate experience. The caliber of the professors and the personal attention I've received from them have exceeded all my expectations."
Now about Chad: In my free time, I enjoy golfing and reading. I find history and geography fascinating and in addition to my corporate experience, I would like to one day be involved in non-profit work in these areas.

Kazumi Sakuhara
Email: kazumi.sakuhara@cgu.edu
Hometown:
Okinawa, Japan
Education:
University of the Ryukyus (B.A. in Law and Politics)
Northwestern University (M.S. in Managerial Communication)
Why did Kazumi choose the Drucker School?
The human-centered approach to management taught at the Drucker School was an aspect of the MBA program that attracted me to CGU. After commencing my studies, I found that the flexible curriculum of the program allowed students to interact with more people; those in their particular concentration as well as those with concentrations in other areas of management. The professors here are very good at asking “the big questions” and getting everyone to contribute their ideas and thoughts. In addition to providing me with analytical tools for strategic thinking, the Drucker School has also given me an opportunity to think about other issues in my life: What are the most important values? What impact can I make? I believe that I will continuously revisit these questions throughout my professional and personal life.
What should we know about Kazumi?
In my spare time, I enjoy Bikram Yoga. I also like cooking, traveling, and watching movies. I am currently working for the Drucker Institute as a research assistant. The project that I am involved in deals with the dissemination of Dr. Drucker’s work and other related business theories, which has been an interesting and rewarding experience.
