Research is an important part of the Drucker School’s mission. Our faculty is actively engaged in research in the areas of strategy development and execution, leadership models, organizational development and revitalization, entrepreneurship and new venture finance, venture capital models for emerging economies, and quality of life measurement and tools. We also have several research institutes and centers that provide opportunities for funded research, the organization of research colloquia on a national and international scale, and the integration of our Ph.D. program.

The Venture Finance Institute The Venture Finance Institute is devoted to developing the theory and practice of venture finance. It is recognized internationally by academicians and practitioners as the leader in research concerning the financing of new business ventures and is a significant financial information intermediary between entrepreneurs and prospective investors in new business ventures.

The Quality of Life Research Center The QLRC studies and disseminates knowledge concerning “positive psychology” ( human strengths such as optimism, hope, creativity, responsibility, and courage). The QLRC brings together scholars, media representatives and other interested individuals to stimulate thinking, research and application on topics relevant to the quality of life.

The Institute for Advanced Studies in Leadership The Institute contributes to the field of leadership by focusing on enhancing leadership behavior at the highest organizational levels, invigorating policy making and implementation in both the public and private sectors. The Institute sponsors programs to meet this goal, including conferences and symposia.

The Drucker Institute The Peter F. Drucker Archive, an independent organization within Claremont Graduate University, affords scholars access to the writings of Peter Drucker, offers assistance with respect to Professor Drucker’s research and writings, and perpetuates his legacy as a teacher and scholar.
