Katie Van Heest

Katie Van Heest is a PhD student in Religion in the New Testament program. She is a research assistant at the Institute for Signifying Scriptures and with Comparing Religions: Theory and Practice, a curriculum development project funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Her research interests include the Pauline epistles, post-colonialism, popular culture studies, and intellectual property issues. In 2002, she received her B.A. with dual majors in Gender & Women’s Studies and Religious Studies from Scripps College. This is her second year as a consultant with the Writing Center.
