What to Expect After Graduation

 

The Office of Records will mail your diploma and two (official) transcripts to graduates who have no outstanding balance on their student account.

Diplomas and Official Transcripts

  • Doctoral  graduates can expect to receive their diploma and transcripts within three (3) weeks of Commencement.
  • Once final grades have been submitted by faculty to the Office of Records, Masters graduates can expect to receive their diploma and transcripts. Masters graduates should allow at least six (6) weeks from Commencement for this process. 
  • Diplomas and transcripts will not be mailed to candidates with an outstanding balance on their  student accounts. Click here to learn more about fees.
  • Official transcripts must remain sealed to maintain their integrity.

Unofficial Transcripts

  • Log onto the CGU student portal at https://my.cgu.edu  to print your unofficial transcripts. Click on "Student Information", then "Academic Information" and "My Official Transcript."
  • As a reminder to May candidates, all fees and other obligations must be fully met.  This includes, but is not limited to, obligations to CGU student accounts, housing accounts, and any of the libraries or other central service organizations of The Claremont Colleges.
  • Log onto the CGU student portal at https://my.cgu.edu  to access your information. Click on "Student Information", then "My Finances."

    -  during office hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

 

CGU Email Account Expiration

  • Your CGU.edu student E-mail account will expire six (6) months from the end of the term in which you were last enrolled.
  • For May 2008 graduates, this means effective November 16, 2008 you will no longer have access to any of your I.T. accounts, including:
      - cgu.edu email
      - WFS (Web File Sharing)
      - labs (teaching, math, computer)
      - Sakai
  • As a graduate of CGU,  you may sign up to receive a lifetime CGU alumni e-mail forwarding address, which directs e-mail to your personal or business e-mail account. Click here to apply.  You will receive a communication from the Office of Alumni Affairs with more information regarding alumni e-mail forwarding.
