Arthur Denzau is a Professor in the Department of Economics. Areas of specialization include public finance, public economics, industrial organization, local educational finance, technological change, institutional change, political economy of Japan, technological change, micro-economic theory, law and economics, political economy of trade, history of thought, and econometrics. His current research deals with the problems of Asian economics, political economy and the role of mental models.
