Recently, it has become more apparent that the global community is a system of movements, conflicts, and compromises needing constant attention. This attention, in part, is necessary from scholars who explore the global climate through critical thinking, applied research and evaluation, and artistic construal to inform an international audience.
An important part of our mission as scholars is to direct awareness and understanding toward social issues through provocative research and action. Graduate Students and McNair Scholars of the Claremont Colleges and local Universities are prepared to present papers, posters, panels, performance art and artwork for the 8th Annual Minority Mentor Program Student Research Conference and Art Exhibition. The Conference will be held at Claremont graduate University on March 2, 2007, in the Ron W. Burkle Family Building from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with a grand reception to follow.
