Teacher Education Online Registration

All continuing CGU Teacher Education Students will register online. New students must contact Joe Garcia, Program Coordinator at joseph.garcia@cgu.edu  to schedule a time to register in person for your initial semester.

*Teacher Education students who register for classes outside Teacher Education or plan to audit or enroll in an independent study need to download the registration form, complete it, obtain approval from the instructor and submit the form to Joe Garcia, Program Coordinator, for processing.  Please refer to General / Paper-based  Registration section below.

 Online Registration Deadlines

     

Summer 2008

 

  • Registration for Regular and Module 1 is April 25 – May 19.
  • Registration for Module 2 is April 28 – July 14.
  • Late registration fees are not incurred in the summer semester. 

Fall 2008

  • Registration for Regular and Module 1 is April 25– August 1.
  • Registration for Module 2 is April 25 – October 27.
  • Registrations posted/processed after August 1 (for continuing students) will incur a $150 late registration fee.
  • Students will maintain access in the portal to make changes (add/drop) to registration until September 16, after which  all changes must be processed by your academic department. Please submit a Change in Registration form; access this form in the Paper-Based Registration section.
  • Students must maintain continuous registration each semester.  If you will not be taking coursework, but have not completed your degree requirements, you must register for Doctoral Studies (doctoral students) or Continuous Registration (masters students).
  • Students who are not registered by the end of the Add/Drop period will be withdrawn from CGU. Please refer to Academic Calendars for specific term dates.

 Enrollment  Restrictions

  • Teacher Education courses are restricted to Teacher Education students.  Any rare exceptions to this must be approved by DeLacy Ganley, Director of Curriculum and esearch. She can be reached at delacy.ganley@cgu.edu .
Auditing Courses
  • You may audit a course with the instructor's approval.
  • You may audit courses if you are enrolled in Continuous Registration.

  • Please download & complete a Registration Form or Change in Registration Form  and submit it to Joe Garcia in Teacher Education. (See link to forms in next section.)

 Pending Enrollments
  • If your academic advisor feels it is necessary to make adjustments to your schedule, they will contact you and require you to make the necessary changes.

 

 Prerequisites
  • All Teacher Education Program courses will have prerequisites that ensure each student is taking the appropriate course load.
  • To view prerequisites for all courses please visit the course schedule inside http://my.cgu.edu. If you wish to register for one of these classes and you do not meet the prerequisites please contact the Teacher Education department.
     

 Independent Studies

  • To enroll for an independent study course you must 1) contact the Faculty member and 2) obtain departmental approval.  Your department will issue a permission number which is required for registration. Please use a Registration Form or Change Registration Form to accomplish this.  Click here to download form

 

 Withdrawal from Courses

  • If you need to withdraw from all of your courses at CGU, you must submit a completed Change of Registration Form to your department. Do not drop your courses online.
