The Art Department at Claremont Graduate University will hold its Spring 2012 Open Studios on Sunday, April 29, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The studios are at 251 E 10th Street in Claremont.
Open Studios is an annual event where CGU art students' personal studios are open to the public. This allows art collectors, art lovers, and even curious art philistines an opportunity to view the work of the program's current artists - as well as the environment in which that art was created.
Most artists will be in their studios to discuss their work, their philosophy of art, or even the prices of individual pieces.
CGU's art facilities are designed to encourage an open and active community among students. Each artist is assigned his or her own individual studio, and they have access to this space 24 hours a day.
