Mark Ludwig

Mark Ludwig is a Ph.D. student in political science, with an emphasis in American politics and public policy. His is on leave from a position teaching journalism at Sacramento State University. Previously, he worked for about 20 years as a journalist, including stints at the Los Angeles Times and the San Jose Mercury News. He is the lead author of a journalism textbook, Modern News Editing, published in 2005 by Blackwell.

His primary research interest is in the intersection of American politics and the mass media. He lives in San Diego with his wife and two children.
