You may satisfy the Clinical Immersion requirement by participation in an internship or practicum project.

Internship at clinical hospitals and research labs
You may spend one semester implementing and refining the various skill sets learned in the classroom in a clinical environment at a hospital, research lab or other healthcare organization.

Industry or Lab sponsored practicum project
You may work in a small group of three to five students and apply health information management techniques to complete a project supplied by an outside healthcare organization. All work will be done under the supervision and cooperation of our faculty.
