The Drucker School is proud to announce this semester “Create Your Future – Professional Skills Development Workshop.” MBA and financial engineering students will meet today for the first orientation session and hear from instructors, Paul Hardister, Assistant Director from the Office of Career Management and Professors Karen Higgins and Joseph Lee. Professor Vijay Sathe will be a special guest, who will also share with students about his new book, “Manage Your Career: 10 Ways to Survival and Success When Interviewing and on the Job.”
MBA Director Janine Luzano describes, “we found it essential for the Drucker School to design a professional skills workshop that will help our students take the first steps in acquiring life-long skills that will make them better professional managers. As a management and leadership school, we wanted to prepare our well-rounded students with a range of abilities to prepare them for leadership positions.”
Students will learn in the workshop how to build and improve written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills and create a job search based on their personal value system. In addition, the workshop will provide students with an opportunity to practice their networking both in a live setting and online. The workshop will commence its last session at the Doubletree Hotel where students will practice their professional business etiquette skills. The educational offerings of the workshop will provide students with a valuable set of skills useful beyond Drucker and critical to the pursuit of successful careers in business.
The workshop details can be found on http://www.cgu.edu/pages/5829.asp. For more information, please contact Internship Coordinator, Marsha Habib at firstname.lastname@example.org.
