Prior to his current position as the Sullivan Professor and Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Akron, he was the Firestone Chair and Academic Director of the Finance PhD program at Kent State University, and Mellen Chair in Finance at John Carroll where he was responsible for inviting and hosting CEOs on campus.  He has also taught at Harvard, Michigan, and South Carolina.

Raj Aggarwal’s business expertise includes finance/accounting, international business, and strategic analysis in the financial, retail and industrial sectors.  He has lived and worked in Japan, Singapore, India, Australia, Ireland, and Sweden, and is widely traveled in Europe and Asia.  Dr. Aggarwal has worked for executives and Boards at Fortune 100 companies in retailing and distribution, financial services and capital markets, energy, automotive and industrial parts, e-commerce, and higher education.

Raj Aggarwal has authored or co-authored over a dozen books/monographs and over a hundred scholarly papers in the finance and international business areas.  He has won university-wide Distinguished Scholar and Distinguished Faculty awards for excellence in teaching and in scholarship.
