Dr. Gary M. Gaukler

Faculty at Texas A&M University; Principal Consultant at Spectrum Operations Bryan/College Station, Texas Area    Logistics and Supply Chain

Education:

·         Stanford University, Ph.D., Management Science & Engineering

·         Stanford University, MS, Management Science & Engineering

·         Georgia Tech, MS, Industrial & Systems Engineering

·         University of Karlsruhe (TH), BS, Engineering & Management Science

Dr. Gaukler’s research interests are in RFID and RFID-based sensor systems; supply chain visibility and inventory control policies, homeland security, emergency preparation, and supply chain vulnerabilities.  His teaching interests are in supply chain and operations management; spreadsheet-based modeling and VBA programming.

In addition to being an Assistant Professor at Texas A & M University, Dr. Gaukler is currently the Principal Consultant at Spectrum Operations and a Board Member at Oil & Gas RFID Consortium.  In the past, he has worked as a consultant for Volkswagen AG, Hewlett-Packard and Supply Chain Management at Applied Materials, Inc.

Dr. Gaukler has authored and co-authored many articles and has made presentations in his areas of expertise such as supply chain management, RFID, disaster response for large-scale emergencies, etc.
