Mozart Menezes is Professor of Supply Chain Management at the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program and professor in the Operations Management and Logistics Department at HEC School of Management Paris, where he teaches Supply Chain Management in the MBA program and also teaches a PhD course in Combinatorial Optimization. He is also a Research Associate at the Center for Transportation and Logistics at MIT. He obtained a BSc degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Para, Belém, Brazil. Dr. Menezes received an MSc degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Project Management and an MSc degree in Industrial Administration from Clemson University, USA. He received a PhD degree in Operations Management from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, Canada.

He worked for 5 years as Operations Manager at Procter & Gamble in Brazil. Prior to Procter & Gamble, he worked as Project Manager for 10 years for various engineering companies . During that period he was responsible for several projects for both the military and private sectors. As Project Manager he was directly involved in engineering projects for industrial facilities, mining facilities, the construction of high-rise commercial and residential buildings and also involved in public infrastructure among other projects.

His research areas of interest include Supply Chain Network Design, Facility Location, Supply Chain Management and Workforce Management.
