'State of the Art': A Roundtable Discussion on the Gallery Business in LA
Presented by Sotheby's Institute of Art and Claremont Graduate University

Hosted by Sotheby's Institute of Art Alumni

GUSFORD | los angeles | 6.00-8.00pm
7016 Melrose Ave Los Angeles, CA 90038 [map]

In every city, art scenes grow, shift and shrink in large part due to the galleries that present, promote and sell the art. With art fairs expanding into new cities and markets, and with performance art and social practices ascendant, where does this leave the contemporary art gallery today? Join us for our first “State of the Art” roundtable discussion as we explore the gallery scene of Los Angeles.

Roundtable Participants:
Kelsey Lee Offield, GUSFORD | los angeles (Host)
Michelle Schultz, GUSFORD | los angeles(Host)
Esther Kim Veret, Various Small Fires
François Ghebaly, François Ghebaly Gallery
Davida Nemeroff, Night Gallery
Mieke Marple, Night Gallery

Moderator: Jonathan T. D. Neil, Director, Sotheby’s Institute of Art – Los Angeles
