MGT 587 - The American Health Care System

This course has two important objectives, the first of which is to describe the important features of the American health care system, so that the students are familiar with its processes, pressures, and potentials. The second objective is to use the American health care system and its management as a series of case studies in management in general, so that the non-health care manager can learn from the unique structure and functioning of the American health care system, and from this learning to become a more sophisticated and skilled general manager.
