This page is designed to guide outside parties through the process for verifying information about CGU students.

What We Can Do For You
CGU complies with all requirements of the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).  Unless the prior written consent of the student is provided, only the following information (directory information) may be disclosed.
• Name
• CGU email address (for current students only)
• Degree/certificate program of study
• Concentration of study
• Dates of attendance
• Degrees or certificates received
• Degree or certificate conferral date

What Information You Need To Provide
When you contact us, please state what information you would like to confirm and provide as much information about the student as possible.  In particular, provide the student’s full name, the name of the degree or certificate, and the student's years of attendance or degree award date.

IMPORTANT: Due to federal regulations, we cannot verify an individual's education information from a social security number without the prior written consent of the student or former student.
