Professor Carlson (Ph.D. University of Chicago) is translator of three of Marion's works, The Idol and Distance, God without Being, and Reduction and Giveness, and the author of Indiscretion: Finitude and the Naming of God, and The Indiscrete Image: Infinitude and Creation of the Human (both from the University of Chicago Press) and numerous articles on Marion, Caputo, postmodernism, mysticism, postmetaphysical theology, revelation, phenomenology, technology, secularization, and politics.
