Event Information
The program will include papers on the relationship between religion and poetry, religious poets, and religious verse in the Islamic, Jewish, Hindu, Zoroastrian, Catholic, Protestant, Coptic, LDS and, in addition, the Baha'i and Bab'i faiths. Our opening plenary session will be a conversation with nationally known poet B.H. Fairchild on the connection between poetry and religion. There will also be performances of sacred liturgical verse and readings by contemporary poets, including: Ralph Angel, Stephanie Brown, Chris Davidson, Lance Larsen, and Sholeh Wolpe.
