Robert Folkenflik, Edward A. Dickson Emeritus Professor of English at the University of California, Irvine, publishes mainly on eighteenth-century narrative (biography, autobiography, the novel), on Book History, and on the relations of literature and art. He has published Samuel Johnson, Biographer, The Culture of Autobiography: Constructions of Self-Representation, editions of A Tale of a Tub, Sir Launcelot Greaves, and Tristram Shandy.
