A Warm Welcome...

Welcome back MBA Students:

I hope that all of you are enjoying your first week of classes and for continuing students, we hope that you are settling in after a restful and relaxing summer.

I wanted to share with you some important MBA information. Please read below as it pertains to program updates.

New Student Orientation Recap

Last Friday, we had an exciting orientation day welcoming our new incoming students. With a full schedule packed with activities, students had positive remarks for their first Drucker experience. The day started off with Dean Ira Jackson welcoming our students and concluded with a unique experience for students to learn more about the Odyssey Project – a project that they will be involved in during the next few months.  The theme for orientation was to encourage students to think about their careers early and this theme were highlighted throughout the day in the program sessions. Students were asked to come to orientation in business suits for a group photo and made wonderful first impressions at President Klitgaard’s reception. Orientation day is just one of the exciting Drucker events and there will be many opportunities for students to meet one another (i.e. Welcome Back mixer today from 4- 6:30 p.m. Burkle courtyard)

For Sessions 2-6, you will have three options to choose from per session. An email from the MBA office will be sent to your cgu email account 1 week prior for each of sessions 2-6. Students will email drucker.cgu.edu and include the following information:

3.) Attendance during Workshop Sessions

For each session, attendance will be taken at the beginning of the class as well as after the break. We will have a confirmed student attendance list and students who did not register prior to the session will NOT be registered for the workshop session. Incoming MBA students (Class of 2010) will need to check in with the MBA program representative, who will sign off on the workshop checklist form. The MBA office will keep each student’s original checklist form and we will use the checklist form to track MBA student attendance.
