We are pleased to announce our keynote speakers:

Mr. Blair Taylor
President and CEO
Los Angeles Urban League

Mr. Taylor is the President and CEO of the Los Angeles Urban League—the largest community-based movement promoting educational, economic, health, quality of life, civic engagement, leadership, civil rights, and racial justice empowerment for African Americans.  The League’s five-year Strategic Plan focuses on advocacy, leadership, and Neighborhood Change in order to promote positive change within inner city Los Angeles.  Such initiatives have resulted in increased scholarship funding, expanded Head Start programs, summer employment assistance for youth, anti-gang programs, partnerships with local community based organizations, and ultimately, a renewed sense of hope for its residents.

Mrs. Diane Evans
President and Founder
Vietnam Women's Memorial Foundation

Mrs. Evans lead the campaign to fund, design, and build the Vietnam Women’s Memorial in Washington, D.C., dedicated on November 11, 1993.  As a former Captain in the Army Nurse Corps during the Vietnam War, she believed in the need to fully and accurately represent the 11,000 military women who served in Vietnam and the 265,000 who served around the world during this tumultuous period of America’s history.  She is the President and Founder of the Vietnam Women’s Memorial Foundation, Inc., remaining active in the veteran community and traveling nationally to speak about women’s wartime experiences.
